I thought you were supposed to place the arrows at the same side of the bow as the hand you draw back the bowstring back with... (aka the right side) That's how I was instructed during archery tutorials anyway...

And now I have been convinced I must reach master level in archery

Greetings! I am Verilian, your new Assistant Storyteller here in Wind Reach. It's great to be here and I hope that over the seasons I can give all of you some awesome quests and stuff. So, let's get to know each other a little better with random questioning!

What caste do you play, and why did you choose it?

Hello there, Verilian! Good to have you!

I would wave my little Chiet pride banner but we all know pride and Chiet don't go together. lol

I chose the commoner caste for Khara for a handful of reasons but mostly I wanted to give my character a goal to work towards and be able to toss obstacles in her path at every opportunity. I was tempted to go Avora at the start, but I've really been enjoying how the caste has fit into Khara's personality and behaviors. She has room to grow but is also very aware there's room to fall as well. All around, I don't see it changing any time soon and while my PC may not exactly enjoy that, I'm perfectly happy to keep running with it for the time being.

Want some help with that? I'm not saying Bran could take him with one arm, but Bran could totally take him with one arm :rolleyes:

Also V, I'm not exactly playing in WR just yet, but I will be in Spring, so I'll send you a couple PMs soon to figure a couple things out and all that

I'm kind of planning on being a Chiet I think.

Greetings, Verilian. Knew you'd pop up sometime in the land of the ~~crazies~~ redheads.

I chose Avora when I created Azira for a number of reasons. For one thing, Azira's history and personality fit the caste very well. Her Yasihood was a nightmare for her so she had the drive to work her butt off to get out of it and into an apprenticeship as soon as possible. She also doesn't react well to being told what to do so if she'd ended up a Chiet or Dek, it wouldn't have ended prettily. She wouldn't have been nearly as spirited if I'd gone lower and wouldn't have been bitter and resentful of Endal if she'd started as one. It's all just to make everyone's lives all the more interesting. :lol:

For purely OOC reasons, the Avora interested me but I didn't like the idea of an artisan. The fact that hunters were in there and gave me the challenge of writing about killing things (I actually won't kill a fly because it upsets me and doing such a thing would leave me melancholy for a few hours, even if it was accidental) made it far more inviting.

Hi Verilian.

Zhol is Avora, because that was pretty much as uncomfortable and out of place as I could make him. Back in Endrykas, he was a member of the crafting clan who was too terrible at crafting to be able to make anything, and so he was effectively the equivalent of a Dek, good for looking after horses for people too lazy to do it on their own, and not much else. After coming to Wind Reach, suddenly his common-as-muck skills with horses are incredibly rare and valuable, and so he's got all this status that he doesn't feel he deserves, and doesn't really know what to do with. It also turns him into the sort of person that, despite being an outsider, the Inarta are grudgingly forced to show at least some respect, and that's a really weird / awkward / interesting situation for everyone involved.

Plus, we wouldn't have been able to do two whole seasons of Zhol-Khara awkwardness if Zhol wasn't the caste above her. :paranoid:
