Greetings folks, the season of Summer is ending and the pending season of Fall is quickly coming upon us. As always, Summer seems to be very busy and Fall a season of change and addition. Indeed, I have some new ideas coming soon that I would like to share with you. I expect activity to pick up as well.
For now, lets start with some announcements. Plume, my lovely assistant, will be gone from today to September 20th while travelling abroad in China. Very exciting, lets all wish her a wonderful vacation.

During that time she may or may not have a computer to do things, so worst case scenario, she will be completely inactive.
With the coming of Fall, its time for a reminder regarding Living expenses and wages.
Living Expenses. All players who have posted in Syliras during the months of June, July and August 2015 are expected to pay the full seasonal expenses. So what should you pay for Seasonal Expenses? Well, there is no good reason to pay less then common seasonal expenses. That means each player is to pay 135 GM for the season of Summer 515 or more based on the
price list. However, there are some exceptions.
Squires need to still make a note in their ledger, that is, they need to still pay for living expenses. What they actually take from their ledger is 0 GM. This is because the knighthood is taking care of your seasonal expenses.
Knights are expected to pay for seasonal expenses, but they are given a special rate. This is because they are a privileged class of individuals in Syliras. So they take Good living expenses, but only pay for Poor, or 45 GM.
Players unable to pay for their living expenses need to PM me. Accommodations can be made. Typically this means sending the character to the mines to work off their debt. If no attempt to work out living expenses are made, the player
can not go into debt (or have a negative balance due to living expenses). This means that they can not feed themselves and they are technically dead. I can then start intervening on Character Sheets, which I would rather not.
Wages and Job threadsFor more information, refer to the
wage request thread. So, time is running short to request and do job threads. To get full seasonal wages from your profession you need to do two job threads. Each job thread needs to total at least 2500 words of actually doing their job. Threads with more or threads with other players that do more then just their job are fine. If you only get one thread, you get half wages.
Now, do they need to be done at the end of the season? No. You are free to work on your job threads as long as you require. And to submit your wages at any season following. (So if a player wished to post up Summer 515 wages, I will not process them until Summer 515 is over). They do need to be complete before you submit them. This means that if a player abandons a thread, you are free to finish it off and turn it into a job thread. The thread just has to be complete and in the grading queue, though it doesn't have to be graded.
If you have done more then the threads involving your job or you are doing threads that are related to your job but not necessarily qualify as doing your job, you can get seasonal experience from it.
When your wage request has been processed, I will give you a PM and updated your Storyteller's Secret thread. You will be then instructed to update your Character Sheet with the Relevant information.
Major change to the rulesOne last note on Wages. I am making a citywide change to how wages are processed. To simplify matters, Wages will no longer be awarded based on how many days you have joined. I am unsure of the reasoning of the rule's initiation, but it puts too much burden on players who find Mizahar and want to jump right in. Thank you for your patience and I apologize on behalf of my predecessors for the institution of this rule and for those who got paid less then they should have for previous seasons.
Moderated threadsAt this time I can not take on any new threads. Not until the ones that I have started have been complete, those players have been waiting very patiently on me and it would not be fair to them to start new threads for others. Thank you for your understanding.
Here is to the new season, the upcoming harvest season!
