[Syliras' OOC Thread] The Calm within the Storm

Postby Katelyn Marks on November 16th, 2014, 2:01 am

Hello Syliars,

I wanted to drop this message here to let anyone interested know that I have a thread that I would like to advertise. Initially Katelyn was going to learn how to use a talonsword but my partner had to move her PC to another city and withdrawal her post from the thread.

I would still like there to be some sort of combat training, but instead with a more common weapon that can just be taken off the racks in the Fighter's Pit. Any squires or civilians wishing to train, please message me and let me know. I can change the title and timestamp and add your name.

Best,
Kat

How quick does she want this training?

Also keep in mind squire training needs to be discrete. Or necessary to survival.

I was thinking I might just turn it into a solo to get some quick experience out of it. Have an NPC train her in this one.

It would have been a lot more meaningful if I could have learned to use that talonsword, but now I'll do something like dagger or shortspear maybe.

Could still have Marrick give her some rudimentary bow. Maybe in the drove thread?

I forgot about that longbow of yours. Go ahead and post in the fighter's pit thread if you want. It'd be more fun than training with a NPC in skills I'm not extremely interested in, that's for sure. I don't think in the drove threads they'll have spare time to do any kind of training. When things hit it's going to be quick and chaotic.

Kate: I would offer some training... But that isn't a wise idea against Ball LOL.

Graders Please Note :
As Ball is getting closer and closer to maxing out Pyken as a skill, I would like to request that in places where Ball is not doing enough to constitute Pyken XP if Pyken technique lores could be issued instead.

Examples of proper XP level for Pyken would be: Ball developing or refining his technique by adding new thing against an actual moving target, not a dummy.

The use of basic skills alone are not enough to accomplish XP at Ball's current level of Pyken.

Thank you.

I will be handling all Ball related posts on Mondays @ 1800 my time *

Ball, I've seen how you "train"! You beat up defenseless sea creatures. Bad squishy. Bad!
