The Spot . . Located on the docks, the outer ring of the city, just around the corner from The Slave Market, or sometimes over near the Shipyard, floated a medium sized structure looking something like a cross between a tavern and a boat, and in fact it was both. Granted, most buildings in Ravok floated, but this particular one was also mobile. And while it did have a very tavern-like feel, and indeed had a full bar complete with saucy serving wenches, the real lure of the place was the extra mizas to be had. With the destruction of the C.E.B. and the loss of everyone's employment information, many people lost their jobs, or were unable to get new ones. The Vitrax and the Citizen Registration Office did their best to take up the duties of the C.E.B. but it simply was not as efficient. And when losing such an establishment, it is inevitable that alternative establishments begin to crop up. One such place was The Spot, a sort of catch-all location for work of almost any kind within the city. People who needed things done submitted their requests, and the The Spot saw that they got done. It was not for full time work, but for individual jobs, and to get the very best jobs one needed to build up a reputation with The Spot. Though it was far from perfect, the The Spot was quick to become a focal establishment in the city, and the perfect place to find a few extra mizas. While the true lure of The Spot was the work, it was also a tavern, and served food and drink all night and day. The food wasn't the best in the city, nor was the alcohol the highest quality, perhaps, but it did give one something to keep themselves busy while waiting for new jobs to be posted. There were also a few other things to keep one busy. A knife and dart throwing target adorned the wall on the right side of the room, and people often passed the time competing against one another. In the back, to the left of the bar, was a small stage for singers and musicians to perform on. The stage was first come, first serve, and there was no time limit to how long one could stay on, though it was often considered a courtesy to let others have a chance after a bell or two if there was a line. Along the left wall laid the job board, where all the various jobs were posted, and each job was filed into one of the many different categories available. As it was with the stage, most jobs were first come first serve, and as long as one earned the right to access the job, they were free to take down the post and speak to the barkeep for more information.
