Appearance

”Do not part with your illusions. When they are gone, you may still exist, but you have ceased to live.”
-Mark Twain

Notable Attributes
Unless otherwise stated, these attributes are only visible when Aislyn isn't using an illusion.

Aislyn has several physical features worth noting when one sees her without her illusions up. Most notable, and noticeable, really, are her gnosis marks.
Aislyn's first mark of illusionism is located on the skin in between her shoulder and her neck, the azure, inverted triangle is easily seen when not disguised by an illusion. Its djed power is also easily detectable by those with the ability to do so, along with giving Aislyn a potent azure tint in her aura, with the colour most potent around her shoulder/neck area, for obvious reasons.
The second mark of illusionism, a small blood-red inverted triangle lining the palm of her right hand. The outline is thin, as if drawn in ink, but is raised slightly so it can be felt should a finger be run atop it. The djed of this mark darkens the azure tint of Aislyn's aura, drawing a reddish line between her hand and shoulder.

Scars
After a rather eventful youth life, Aislyn has been left with many, mostly unnoticeable scars, ones not seen unless someone inspects the skin with the intention of finding scars, or is merely close enough to notice them. A select few, however, are more easily notable. With her stubbornness and prejudice against asking for help, any wounds that could result in scarring are often left without treatment, or only minor treatment. They are kept covered and clean, of course, but anything past that to avoid scarring is uncommon for the woman. After all, the majority of the marks are kept hidden, unless they are minor enough to be indistinct. Aislyn often keeps said minor scars visible while she is disguised as Thief, though any defining ones are invariably hidden.

A distinctive scratch on Aislyn’s left cheek. Three shallow individual scars that run from the side of her cheekbone almost to her hairline. Became relatively unnoticeable after Winter 515 AV. Gained here. “A wound on Aislyn's face. This will need to be properly cleaned and cared for within the next few days to avoid scarring or infection.”
    Visible while Maya.
This scar has special circumstances in which it is hidden, due to how and when Aislyn received it. It is always hidden while Thief, and almost always hidden while Maya. The only situation in which it isn’t hidden is in the presence of Phobius.

A small, oblong mark about the size of a palm on Aislyn’s left shoulder. Result of a bite from an unfriendly, windy illusion that fades by the end of the season, leaving only the remnants of where the “teeth” broke the skin. Gained here.
    Visible while Samvrita.

Thin, jagged scars that run up Aislyn’s forearm and bicep. Gained here. ”Minor cuts focused on Aislyn's left arm resulting in thin scars”
    Visible while Thief.

Narrow and faded self-harm scars, running up Aislyn's forearms and wrists, along with high up on her thighs. Varying in time inflicted, but the majority date from 511-514 AV.
    Visible while Thief.

A collection of scars lining the ridges on her back, gained from shallow cuts that were inflicted on her on an unusually hot summer day when Aislyn was thirteen. The scars were warranted by a combination of traveller and denizen boys who recognized the bumps as stubs of Zith wings after Aislyn had worn a shirt exposing her back for relief of the heat. Fueled by their hatred of the race and unaware of Alvadas's much more accepting attitude, the boys inflicted the scar-worthy wounds on Aislyn's back with a sharp rock. Luckily, the wounds weren't deep, and since Lyn was still young, the injury left only faint, albeit long, scars surrounding the nubs of wings on her back.

A tiny, almost unnoticeable piece of skin missing from the very top of her ear. Ordinarily hidden by her hair, the injury is barely thought of in Aislyn's day to day life, and has only been mentioned once or twice in her lifetime, due to her lack of acknowledgement for the scar and her constant disguise of it. The injury was earned when Aislyn’s petty theft was at its peak, gaining attention from the authority of Alvadas; the Speakers. Aislyn was seventeen at the time.
Visible while Thief due to how small it is.

The most distinctive scar Aislyn has; a jagged line across the inside of her left palm from when she first began learning to shoot a crossbow. Gotten when she had just turned ten here. ”A scar on the hand, about the size of a nickel. It will be faint if given treatment, fairly pronounced if not.”

Injuries
Different from scars in the sense that injuries can hinder activity, and most likely will eventually heal.

Aislyn suffers from dehydration, nausea, extreme paranoia and visual hallucinations of fire for the duration of her addiction. Side effects of Sirencestine. Gained here.

Bruises along Aislyn's chest and arms, will heal within three days. Gained here.
Expired as of 88th of Winter, 516 AV.

Minor overgiving: For the next two days, Aislyn will have a slight headache. If she uses auristics within this period, she will also have a slight pain in her ears as long as it's being used. Gained here.
Expired as of 42nd of Summer, 516 AV.

Aislyn is bruised, cut and tired for a good five days. Gained here.
Expired as of 88th of Winter, 515 AV.

Foot Injury - Sprain, Cuts and Bruises: Running around in the wet should have reduced any spelling and the sprain will heal in 2 days. The cut will heal in 5-7 days but if it isn’t cleaned then infection will set in and increase healing time to 10-12 days in total. Bruises will fade in 5-7 days. Gained here.
Expired as of 50th of Summer, 514 AV.

The Plague - Aislyn bears the worst of the disease that plagues Alvadas. Symptoms include a heightened temperature in the evenings, making it difficult to sleep. She will have a few insect bites that will fade after four days, but a stinging rash will form around the bite which causes the affected skin to grow numb. If there are several bites on one limb, she will suffer temporary paralysis, which lasts for 9 bells approx. and surfaces at random throughout the next 10 days. The rash radius, in proximity to the bite, is 30 centimetres. (Other units of measurement available.) If the bite is on the face, the speech or eye movements will be affected. Bites on the legs will almost always cause that limb to seize up. If too aggravated, the limb may become permanently paralysed in that area. [This will be decided come Autumn]. As well as a heightened temperature, she will suffer from a fever including uncontrollable shivering and headaches, as well as spotty vision and dizziness. A decent level of fluids will need to be maintained, and if not incredibly painful headaches and further hallucinations will follow. Vomiting is also common, most usually after consuming food or water, when moving too rapidly, or when lying down. Symptoms can be alleviated with the correct herbal remedies, that should be sought from Ionu's Mercy. On top of all this, if the skin is cut, no matter the size, it will bleed without stopping, unless proper medical attention is sought. If left untreated, the cut could become infected and Aislyn could bleed out and die.
Lasts from the 89th - 91st of Summer, 517 AV.

Aislyn
Image
THE ILLUSION

Aislyn has the typical half-Zith appearance, a sharp, angular face and sharper teeth. Like many other halflings, she has a darker skin tone and thick, flowing hair with undeveloped stubs of wings on her back. Everything about Aislyn is mixed, on behalf of the fact that she is, indeed, of mixed blood. The only full-blooded characteristic of herself is her eyes, which are indentical to that of a purebred Zith. Dark pits that appear completely black, though in the daylight they can be seen as a dark, blood red.

A naturally smaller woman, Aislyn does her best to make herself seem taller, though her presence as a whole certainly helps with this. Due to her Zith heritage and hollow bones, she weighs in at just one-hundred-ten pounds, though she follows her mother’s height of 5’4”. She finds it difficult to put on any sort of weight or muscle, though neither have ever been a particular issue. This gives her a sickly thin build that often causes her to appear fragile.

It has been many years since Aislyn has stepped outside as herself. Well past the distinction of “paranoid”, she is rarely caught as herself. Cautious in every movement, she appears constantly unnerved, picking at her skin or avoiding eye contact in conversation. A loner by nature, “Aislyn” never actually ventures outside in most circumstances, her illusions taking form before she leaves day in and day out. “Maya” by day and “Thief” by night, Aislyn never has a chance to just be.
It is as herself that Aislyn finds herself most in-tune with Alvadas and its illusions, her speech characteristically Alvadas-esqe. Both her first and second marks of illusionism were granted from her personality in her natural form, a personality rarely heard and even more rarely seen. In everything, there is an illusion, a riddle, or deceit. In everything, there is Alvadas.

Defining "Aislyn" Thread: The Beginning of the End

As of the 83rd of Winter, 515 AV, Aislyn has cropped, short hair that falls at her shoulders rather than the longer hair she is depicted as having. This means that the 'Thief' illusion no longer involves making her hair appear shorter.

Maya
Image
THE ARTIST

”Maya” was the first disguise Aislyn ever created. Her purpose was and is an internalized perfection the illusionist has never been able to achieve herself. With an internalized stigma against herself, the best course of action that she could think of was to not be herself, and thus, “Maya” was born. Created half a season after being marked by Ionu, “Maya” was created from a drawing Aislyn had made of someone she had seen, inciting some irony into her personality. From the art, came the artist. A woman of lighter personality, her appearance mirrors this. A kind looking woman, though this is not an accidental occurrence. Bright blue, happier eyes. Wavy, white-blonde hair and pale skin that contrasts Aislyn’s darker shade. Aislyn goes through great lengths to hide her ‘imperfections’ while “Maya”, gracing the illusion with softer features along with hiding her scars and gnosis mark alike. The thought process behind “Maya” is that, if Aislyn can’t be happy, she might as well look happy, and then the rest of her will follow suit.
Or at least, that was the plan.

Appearance, however, is not where the differences cease. Like many of Ionu’s favoured, Aislyn has gained a dissociative identity disorder along with her illusionism, making “Maya”, among other things, not quite Aislyn anymore.

At least partially, Aislyn succeeded in her original intentions. Maya is happier, certainly, but a masked donned does not change what lies beneath. Her curiosity is heightened, and it is Maya that is most likely to talk to people, though Aislyn’s paranoia and caution never disappear. Maya has an image to upkeep, a ‘reputation’, of sorts. For this reason, she avoids mind-altering substances in this illusion, especially after several incidents, not only with alcohol* but also with hallucinogens*, both ending rather poorly for the illusionist. On the rare occasion, Aislyn has given Maya a backstory; though it is even rarer that the story stays the same.
Image
As of Winter, 515 AV, “Maya” takes a hit. Cracks appear in the surface, and more of Aislyn begin to show through. Paranoia, insomnia, relapsed depression. The problem lies in the fact that ”Maya” is Aislyn’s every waking moment, meaning Aislyn never has a chance to exist at all. Having been suppressed for so long, an unconscious shift begins to occur after Aislyn’s illusions are temporarily freed*. From this freedom, Aislyn becomes the one to speak first and foremost, her second mark of illusionism resulting from this limited freedom. As time goes on, more and more Aislyn begins to shine through the cracks into “Maya”, a hostility and distrust appearing past the wistful nature of the illusion.
It appears “Maya” is beginning to become what Aislyn never wanted her to be- herself.

Defining "Maya" Thread: [Of Being] Evening's Evaluations

As of the XX of Fall, 516 AVthread takes place between the 60th-91st; not yet completed, "Maya"'s voice is changed slightly to be less recognizable compared to Aislyn's own. The Alvad accent becomes less pronounced, her speech is more fluid, and her voice is more pleasant and calmer than before.

Thief
Image
THE THIEF

A disguise made for the obvious occupation of theft, ”Thief has fluctuated in and out of use as Aislyn’s life as her needs have changed. Modeled after a girl she once met, Thief was originally made to seem innocent if prosecuted, yet blend in should she be in certain circumstances that require a stealthier approach. As time went on, "Thief" became rougher looking as Aislyn's needs evolved from needing to seem innocent to needing to be left alone.

Hazel eyes and light skin, Thief has a much harsher appearance than that of “Maya”. Her looks become a modulated version of Aislyn’s naturally sharper features, with straight black hair that falls just upon her shoulders. Thief was the first risk Aislyn took, disguising her hair length without being able to manipulate touch. This resulted in at least one point in which someone felt through her illusions, a possibility Aislyn soon eliminated as she gained her second mark of illusionism. As Thief, Aislyn uses her scars as tools, allowing the majority of them to shine through the illusion. This effectively creates even more of a gap between her and “Maya”, though scars she decided to be simply too distinctive to risk are kept behind an illusion. The same logic is applied to her gnosis mark, which is invariably hidden. Thief typically wears an entourage of dark or black clothing, as to disguise her presence, again, as a nod towards the lesser moral aspect of the illusion.

Pre-Winter 515 :
Also due to the situation in which Thief was created and used, the illusion appears to be younger than Aislyn, though there is no weight or height change, as said features are much too easy to find faults in through touch. A careful observer might find through physically contact that Thief’s skin, hair, or face to feel different than they look, though the illusionist’s caution often prevent such things from happening.

Aislyn also modifies a few physical features once she gained the ability to after the winter of 515 AV. Thief is slightly taller than Aislyn, four inches added to the 5'4" Aislyn is used to. Her hair (when long) is made intangible and the rough skin made tactile, removing the ability for Thief's illusion to be found out through touch. Overall, Thief becomes much more 'real' with Aislyn's second gnosis mark.

A darker illusion created in darker times, Thief is one of the few illusions that Aislyn has marked as ‘safe’ in case of discrepancies. Unlike ”Maya”, Thief is not an illusion that Aislyn needs in order to operate on a daily basis; she can be put away or shelved for extended periods of time should something go wrong. As Thief, Aislyn allows herself the rare opportunity to pretend she doesn’t have to care, though in truth Aislyn’s paranoia and caution can never quite be abandoned. It is Thief that pulls no punches, and, while at first appearing quiet or held back, she is less tactful and more vengeful, more so than even Aislyn herself. With a sharp mind and sharper tongue, Thief can be rather reckless at times.
Image
As of Winter, 515 AV, ”Thief” evolves from a slightly more extreme, laid-back version of Aislyn to a truly spiteful personality. As Aislyn’s identity disorder worsens, Thief becomes almost independently aware, and extremely prominent. When given individual reign*, the illusion is almost malicious towards Maya in particular. The prominence of Thief is present in the fact that her ‘personality’ sometimes sticks around, even after the illusion is let go. Aislyn has maintained the personality of ”Thief” up to a bell after she has dropped the illusion; something that doesn’t happen with ”Maya” or other characters. But she does not abandon her purpose. Maya’s kindness hides Aislyn’s sadness, while Thief’s anger hides her insecurity. Though characterized by her vexation, Thief is, in the end, a mask, and a mask has one purpose- to hide what it is meant to hide.
A mask does not get to decide it doesn’t want to hide anymore.

Defining "Thief" Thread: A Different Kind of Poison

The model used for "Thief" has longer hair than the actual Thief. The style, shape, and colour is all the same, only in reality "Thief" has hair much shorter, falling between her chin and ears rather than her back.

Anjani
Image
THE FIGHTER

A peculiar disguise with a peculiar purpose, “Anjani” is the newest of Aislyn’s main illusions, and thus the roughest and least refined. Designed in the young days of 516, “Anjani” is an illusion made to be much more in the public view than “Maya” or “Thief”. The illusion itself it an amalgamate of different features, rather than one of a singular model like the majority of Aislyn’s earlier illusions.
As her experience with her illusionism grew, so did her skill with the creation of a new reality. Her second mark of illusionism is most prevalent in this illusion, her height modified to 6’0” and her build more muscular than Aislyn’s more wiry frame. Her Alvad accent is emphasized, along with her voice carrying a raspier tone. The modifications with which Aislyn has familiarized herself with are present as well; “Anjani” has a head of burnt red hair in curls unseen in “Maya” or “Thief”, as well as a display of freckles along her face. It can be noted that the exact positioning of the freckles are, of course, never the same, but that is a rather minute detail in the grand scheme of things. Her eyes are a bright pale green, and her skin tone is near the same as Aislyn’s original, though it has much more of a glow. Her features are rounded and often helped along with the addition of some sort of cosmetics, mostly surrounding her eyes and lips.

The only illusion of Aislyn’s to be a member of the Sheathewhisps, Anjani has been built around the fighting group by principle. She often finds herself attempting to match the appearances and countenance of the other Sheathewhisps members, in an attempt to keep from being picked out in a crowd. Her choice in clothing leans towards colourful and practical, though largely donning Aislyn’s older- and thus, more worn out- garments. The overall appearance of Anjani follows a goal unlike that of “Thief” or “Maya”, where she is meant not to blend in with the whole, but with the select minority.
“Anjani” is the “Maya” that was forced through combat, creating an illusion that allows for a situation Aislyn had never faced before. While Thief might carry around the crossbow from time to time and Maya may carry a dagger, it is Anjani that is most comfortable carrying her weaponry out in the open. On her at all times is a scabbard with a rapier, as well as the bow Aislyn knows well harnessed on her back.

The newness of “Anjani” is perhaps most prevalent in her personality, a feature prone to change as Aislyn’s mind adapts to the new persona. Her tendency to exist surrounded by vigilante personalities at the Sheathewhisp headquarters has given her a formal and almost honorable mindset, if ‘honorable’ could be used as a description anywhere near Aislyn. Her overall mindset, however, is unfocused. Her attention is difficult to attract, her mood most often apathetic and unrefined. She drifts off into thought more often than not, the only unclouded thing about her being her morals. Where Aislyn's intentions lie is most certainly more clear while Anjani, though her virtues remain the same, if not heightened. Alvadas is her priority, above all, and it is Anjani that sees this most clearly.

Created 81st of Spring, 516 AV

Defining "Anjani" Thread: [Sheathewhisps] Will o' the 'Whisps

Aislyn has distanced "Anjani" more from herself than she has been able to with "Maya" or "Thief", creating a disconnect that makes utilizing skills associated with other illusions. She also has difficulty remembering events that happened to other illusions, and the same effect happens with events that transpire while "Anjani" is utilized.

Other Illusions
Occasionally, Aislyn experiments with random attributes of her illusions, or, in simple terms, 'throw-away' illusions, in which Aislyn changes with her looks for a certain outing, then never (or rarely) uses that particular illusion again. During these times, her personality often changes much more wildly and unpredictably, depending on the illusion.

Samvrita
Image
Originally created to cover up Nythis's appearance during the Switch, Sam has dark skin, meant to mask Nythis' blue colouring, and short, black hair to compensate for Nythis' lack. Samvrita was an incredibly tall and lanky illusion, due to the excess of bodyweight Aislyn had to work with. The illusion was never actually put into place for its original purpose, due to Aislyn's inability to use her mark during the Switch.

However, this illusion was modified in order to evade Yisanareysin after an unexpected run-in at the Wolf's Cavern. The illusion was, obviously, much shorter than originally planned, since Aislyn's height was returned to her. Her face is fairly similar to Thief's, though marginally less defined and sharp.

Child
Image
A simple illusion based on what Aislyn believes to be what she looked like as a child. Whilst disguised as this illusion, she took on a child-like demeanor, being much perkier and trusting than in any other illusion. This is the one illusion in which Aislyn has attempted to change her body mass, resulting in an illusion that is very easily seen through. This illusion has only been used once. (Created/Used Here)

Man
Image
A short-lived illusion in which Aislyn experimented with the extent of her illusionism ability. Being such a short lived illusion, her personality didn’t have much time to develop, due to the short existence it had. The illusion isn’t particularly convincing, the flattened chest and modified facial features being the only masculine characteristics. Since Aislyn cannot modify her voice, the auditory part of the illusion is also rather unconvincing. This illusion has only been used once. (Created/Used Here)

Note: Aislyn has significantly less trouble disguising as Maya or Thief than when she uses other illusions, due to the fact that she's used both illusions so many times it requires less concentration than usual. This does not, however, prevent inconsistencies in her illusion if she loses focus. These are referred to as flickers.

Aislyn Leavold

Postby Aislyn Leavold on June 14th, 2014, 6:35 pm

Concept

A shadow is cast by even the brightest of stars; darkness is as necessary to light as sickness is to health.
--

Note: See "Appearances" for how Aislyn behaves when disguised as one of her illusions.

Disillusioned

Aislyn is a very dynamic person. Like many of Ionu’s marked, she has an array of personalities, her outlook on life depending on what illusion she has donned at the moment. Unlike the saying, Aislyn truly is who she appears on the outside. Light and happier as Maya, dark and quiet as Thief, a shade of grey as Lyn. It took Aislyn six years to realize her illusions changed her view on life, and it is unlikely she will ever make an effort to remedy this. Her personality is not something she often scrutinizes, and she has always viewed ”Maya” and ”Thief” as separate entities from herself. The illusionist has never had to vocalize the difference between the illusions, and thus does not understand them- or herself- very deeply. Her illusions are not separate people, per say, but certainly different from Aislyn herself. For example, “Maya” would never have a disembodied voice in Aislyn’s head, nor would she ever provide input on something Aislyn was doing, but if Aislyn donned the “Maya” illusion, she’d begin thinking like Maya. With every new face, she becomes a different person, and these people, however real they are to Aislyn, cannot exist outside her head. Flickers do not affect her personality.

Aislyn relies heavily on her illusions, thinking of them as shields or armor, keeping her protected from the outside world. After five years of convincing herself that to be without an illusion is death, it’s hard for her to admit to having the powers she does. She has yet to willingly admit to being marked, and feels very little guilt, if any, surrounding the lies she puts forward. However, no illusion is perfect, and on multiple occasions Aislyn’s two-faced (or three-faced) personality has been found out, causing her significant duress. Anything, in her eyes, is worth upkeeping the facade, and her policy of self-preservation is firmly kept. An opportunist through and through, she believes herself to know her own weaknesses well, and capitalizes on the ability to minimize such limitations. Being her own worst enemy, there’s no need to risk endangerment from outside parties via confrontation. Thus, she tends to avoid situations in which her illusions could be in jeopardy. It would not, however, be above her to attempt harm on someone who had harmed her.

Pre-Winter 515 :
With only one mark in illusionism, Aislyn’s illusions are never completely waterproof, and some situations (such as obstructive weather, being touched, or a specific trigger) can cause faults in her illusion. Aislyn has very little defenses past her external, visual illusion, and her first instinct is always flight over fight. She has yet to face many situations in which her illusionism couldn't save her, however, though there is no guarantee this day will not come.

After the Winter of 515 AV, Aislyn gained her second mark in illusionism. For several seasons, she failed to truly expand upon the power that it granted her, almost fearful of the possibility that a new power could bring new problems. Past that, however, there was an almost joyful satisfaction that came from her second marking. There was only one person Aislyn sought to please in her life, and that person was her deity Ionu. With her second marking, it proved to the illusionist that she had proven herself above a mundane worshipper, ascending to the level of someone somehow worthy of praise.

Past an external layer of lies and (usually literal) illusion, Aislyn is actually a rather insecure person. Often at a physical disadvantage, she uses any upper hand she can gain to manipulate a situation to her liking. Seeking outside help, however, is not a tactic she is known for. Prone to anxiety attacks, Aislyn actually has several coping methods that easily throw off potential help. Whenever an event (something that sets off an anxiety attack or just a bad situation in general) happens, she takes to seclusion and avoidance in order to figure out what she did wrong and how to avoid something like it happening again. Her pride and obsession with upkeeping her image keeps those around her isolated, and she has never, and most likely will never, seek help from someone else for an issue she is facing alone. She has a deadly fear of being manipulated, as well as a hatred of being spoken down to or outwitted.

Aislyn Leavold spent more than five years cooped up in her home, her sketchbook being her only companion. It is unlikely she will ever actually open up to someone without some layer of protection to fall back onto. She is defensive to the death of her secrets, and has only herself to blame (and she does so eagerly) when such secrets do escape.

Religion

"You're... marked." He gasped. His face split into a broad grin.
"By the gods, you're marked!”
--

Illusionism I
ImageFirst Mark
An inverted triangle, inked in a iridescent blue on the skin between Aislyn's neck and shoulder, lying above her collar bone. It gives her aura a faint azure tinge, and can be sensed by others marked by Ionu as her connection to the deity of illusions. It almost appears to glow, though this is easily attributed to a trick of the light.

"Those so marked with one of Ionu's gnosis marks can create minor illusions involving a single sense (touch, taste, smell, sight, sound). The illusionist can easily change multiple aspects of themselves and their bodies. Hair color, eye color, the tone of their skin, the accent of their voice is all very reasonable for them. However, they cannot stack illusions, meaning if their chosen illusions involves sight, all their subsequent illusions at that particular time must include sight. They cannot, however, alter sight and sound at the same time. But they can, however, affect multiple sights and sounds with enough focus to maintain multiple illusions. Minor illusions last for only a single hour, and they can have up to ten illusions ongoing at a time. If they wish, they can trade multiple illusions for longer time periods. That means they can have up to one illusion for ten hours or ten illusions for one hour or any combination therein. Again, multiple illusions can only effect one type of perception at a time. If they have ten illusions ongoing, all ten illusions must affect the same sense, e.g. sight. Minor illusions can easily change numbers on playing cards, dice or the appearance of a street or shop sign. Minor illusions can affect multiple people at a time."

Illusionism II
ImageSecond Mark
An outline of a small, blood-red inverted triangle on the palm of her right hand. The triangle outline is thin, as if it's been drawn with an ink pen. It stands out slightly on the skin, so when a finger is rubbed over it the mark can be felt. The red colour of the mark itself would appear to be diluted by the same azure tinge as the first mark, though instead of being muddled by the second colour they blend and compliment beautifully. There is a constant energy pulsating between Aislyn's hand and shoulder, drawing a line across her torso.

"Those favored by Ionu have their skills suddenly broadened. With two gnosis marks, illusionsists can affect more than one sense concurrently. So not only can they make a plain cobble look like a cinnamon roll, they can exactly mimic its smell, weight and the illusion of bread-like softness. It would only be when a person plucks one up and takes a bite would they realize it's stone as their teeth crunch into the rock unexpectedly. Illusionsists at this level, however, must be incredibly careful. It is quite difficult to mimic all aspects of something real so that it's good enough to fool a close inspection. Cursory inspections - casual glances - often overlook detail, but if someone is looking terribly closely, the illusionist should be taking care to think of every aspect of their illusion. For example, a jeweler skilled at telling the difference between cut glass and a real gemstone might not be fooled at all by an illusioist trying to sell them a small pebble from the street and pass it off as a ruby. The illusionist must be able to know every aspect of what a jeweler might look for in appraising a ruby in order to pass off a stone as the real thing. If they forget one tiny aspect - luster, refraction, color quality, weight - their illusions will not hold up. This means, the best illusionists create illusions in areas they know well. This is especially true of complex multiple layered illusions. Pulling off things like gilding plainly painted walls is a somewhat easier endeavor for them. Making a wall look, feel and smell like gilding is not nearly as difficult as making a pebble look like a real ruby. These illusionists can sustain complex illusions for a single day before they must relax, reconnect with Ionu, and recharge their creative batteries in order to be able to go out and work their gnosis more."

Aislyn Leavold

History

Power is the greatest illusion of all, the strong are not counted among the great, yet the great are counted among the strong. A path is only a limitation.

Pre-Creation

494
Aislyn Azura Leavold was born just outside of Alvadas to a miss Maria Leavold. She is a the bastard child of a Zith father, who raped and impregnated Maria before she escaped from captivity. Aislyn was born prematurely, and just barely survives her first year; on her first birthday, her heart stops beating for several long ticks in the night after she undergoes several chimes of difficulty breathing. From sheer luck and favour of the gods, she survives, but Aislyn today still has the occasional nightmare of being immobile and unable to breath. Whether or not this is connected to her respiratory problems as a child, she doesn’t know.

494-504
Aislyn and her mother lived on the streets for most of Aislyn's upbringing. From the moment she could walk to the age of ten, Aislyn was practically unsupervised. Her mother cared about the girl, of course, but gradually, the care turned more and more neglectful due to a combination of thought disorder, psychosis, and bipolar disorder on her mother’s behalf. The streets of Alvadas, of course, are unpredictable, and at time, dangerous. It is on such streets the girl learned to use her favoured weapon, the crossbow. After watching two men arguing in the street over who was a better shot, she advanced on one of the men, asking for him to teach her how to use the weapon. The man, named Taji, became a sort of mentor for the girl, teaching her how to wield a crossbow and even eventually giving her one of her own. During one of their early training sessions*, ten year old Aislyn accidentally shoots herself in the palm, earning a nasty scar on her left hand that has stuck with her into adulthood.

506
With almost enough pieces of a mother and mentor to make one whole parental unit, Aislyn goes through a rather different coming of age, though not unlike what many Alvad children go through. The discovery that Alvadas has so much more to offer comes quickly to the native, and at twelve, the girl takes a further interest in the deity Ionu, beginning to actively worship them. At night, she actively seeks out solitude in favour of the illusions, spending many of her nights fascinated by various impossible creatures. Taji expresses nothing but fear on the subject of illusions and Alvadas in general, believing Ionu is a force to be reckoned with. This sparks a fight between the two, and Aislyn realizes how much his opinion hurts her.

507-509
As she grew up, Aislyn began to grow slightly more distant from her mentor, adopting the streets of Alvadas as her only “friend”. During this time, her budding worship of Ionu and the spirit of Alvadas brings her to the influence of both alcohol and various drugs. At first, accidentally, but afterwards, not as much so. Around this time, through some favor of the gods, the girl makes a somewhat decent friend throughout all the turmoil. A boy quite a bit older than her, called Markis.
Their relationship lasts two years, and it is on the 45th of Spring, 509 AV- half a season before the girl turns fifteen- that things go very, very wrong. Without complicating things too much, a teenage Aislyn ends up murdering one man and putting a crossbow bolt through her only "friend" as a result of his actions. Later that night, she receives her first mark of illusionism. On her birthday, Aislyn discovers the real reason she believes she was given the gift- to become someone else. From this, she creates ”Maya”, the first illusion of many.

510
By the time a year has passed, Aislyn is confident in her ability and, in an attempt to rekindle their relationship, shows Taji. He reacts violently out of fear, cutting off all ties with the girl. She hasn’t seen him since, and hasn’t ever gone looking. For a while, she experiments with the idea of who ”Maya” is, at first drawing images and eventually creating stories about who the persona could be. Now without any sort of positive influence in her life, “Maya” takes hold. However, without Taji or Markis to support her, the teen decides to create something, or someone new.
Simply named, ”Thief” is as she appears; a thief. Beginning as a drawing on a page and ending in petty theft, the new illusion becomes Aislyn’s primary persona as paranoia over her surroundings and her past begin to take hold. For several seasons, the girl runs herself ragged, saving every coin she can until she is able to secure a home for her and her mother to live in. Emboldened, she grows careless. After several late-night pickpocketing sessions, she eventually runs into penitence for her crimes. Treated as a lowly thief, the teen loses a sliver off the top of her ear, which is a scar that she carries into adulthood. Her first instinct is to seek out Taji for help, then Markis, neither of which, she realizes, are options anymore. She seeks out her mother instead, who is quickly slipping into insanity. After this event, however small, the reality of how alone Aislyn truly is dawns on her.

511-513
Left alone by her friend and mentor and without a mother or father, Aislyn regresses back to nurse both her mental and physical scars, clawing herself into a pit of solitude. The majority of her days from her christening of “adulthood”- her eighteenth birthday- onwards are spent locked up in her home. On a rooftop, in an abandoned building, or in an alleyway, all the girl takes solace in is her art and her illusions. Plagued by paranoia, anxiety, depression, and the beginning of an identity disorder, she hides herself behind the illusion of either ”Maya” or ”Thief” in every waking moment. For two years, she covers the walls of her home in drawings of anything from Alvadas and its inhabitants to self-portraits tinged with darker images. It becomes a tradition for the girl, every year on the first of summer, to try to escape the depression she finds herself trapped in.
On her nineteenth birthday, Aislyn attempts suicide.

514
In a change of pace in what could be called the will of the gods, a different kind of attempt is made on Aislyn’s twentieth birthday. By sheer luck, the woman is lead to find work. Driven by not the fear of death, but the existence of a deeper fear, she tries to find something inexplicable. Be it the descent into nothingness or the realization of how short life could be, the illusionist realizes what little she has to her name and how empty a life like that could be.
Somewhere, somehow, Aislyn Leavold needed a purpose.

Post-Creation

514
New Beginnings

From age sixteen to twenty, Aislyn hones her art skill as a coping method for her depression and severe anxiety. As she descends into adulthood, however, she forces herself to venture out of her comfort zone, terrified of the idea of her life dissolving into nothingness. Her depression improves dramatically, though her anxiety worsens into anxiety attacks that sporadically seize her everyday life. She hides behind her illusions as a day-to-day way to cope, but eventually begins to meet and interact with people. The woman gets a job doing art-related odd jobs for a man named Kuvarakh, and finally begins to see her life take a turn for the better.

She excels in her job as a personal artist, creating anything from tapestries to helping invent coloured charcoals. She meets people who, though she wouldn’t go as far to say ‘friends’, she becomes fond of. Kuvarakh’s courier boy, Phobius, becomes almost a little brother to “Maya”, despite him only being a year younger than Aislyn. Throughout many changes, Phobius is the one thing that stays constant in the woman’s life. A cheerful beacon of light, Aislyn manages to keep up her facade of “Maya” for seasons upon seasons, occasionally meeting with the boy to make sure nothing ill has befallen him. Despite her vow to herself never to bond with the people she meets, Aislyn grows to care for the boy.

On the other side of the spectrum, the woman makes some less-than-friendly acquaintances. After her identity and disguise were threatened in an eventful night in the Garden of No Return**, a man who introduces himself as ”Reysin Ekans” gets too close to Aislyn for comfort, whilst she is under the guise of Thief. Introducing herself as “Nise”, the woman draws suspicion from Rey, who through the course of the night, manages to uncover the fact that Aislyn is not who she appears to be. She panics, and, questioning how good of an idea coming out of hiding truly was, manages to escape.
Rey, however, continues to appear throughout almost every aspect of Aislyn’s life, like a bad case of déjà vu. He, too, happens to be employed by Kuvarakh, and, throughout several more encounters, the two grow to be almost arch enemies. Aislyn loses several secrets*, a pair of boots*, and a few memories* due to their rivalry, while Rey loses at least two hundred mizas*, his ability to trust women*, and gains a scar on his right cheek*.

515
Adaptation

In the Spring of 515 AV, things seem to regress dramatically. Out of the blue, the Alchemmia Alchea- Aislyn’s technical place of work since she was employed by the active proprietor- explodes*. An entire city block is transformed to crumbling dust that nearly claims Aislyn’s life as well, killing a good amount of Alvadas’ population that no one appears to notice go missing. The explosion, caused by one of the few people the illusionist would dare call a friend, Wanda, results in the Speakers coming to claim retribution for the loss of the city. Aislyn, along with Reysin and Phobius, are given a choice in the matter when it comes to Wanda’s fate. Lyn chooses based on what the trickery and deceit of her city has taught her: trust no one, and nothing. However, the trio is given no clear answer to the question of what happened to Wanda Malvolia?

Weighted by guilt but slowly overcoming her anxiety attacks, Aislyn begins to grow dependent on her religion for sanity. This, however, also grows unstable, as throughout the final seasons of 515, Alvadas seems to take ill*. The illusionist is no exception to the growing number of worried Alvads, and throughout both fall and winter tries to piece the puzzle together. Her prayers are left unresolved, leaving her with more questions than answers in an ever-growing mindset of hopelessness. Documenting the foreboding events* of the seasons, the woman’s paranoia peeks, and by the time the end of winter grows near, she begins to prepare for the worst.

The worst, of course, does come*. On the 81st of winter, 515 AV, a door appears in the center of a rapidly-condensing Alvadas*. Aislyn, deciding that all her preparation has come to use, convinces Phobius to come through the door with her in search of answers*. However, they get separated on the way through the door and the woman ends up in the world she dubs “Apocalypse-Alvadas” alone. On the other side of the door, Aislyn faces down what could be called both her greatest strength and greatest weakness: her illusions. “Maya”, “Thief”, and various other faces the illusionist has donned gain lives of their own, introducing the illusionist to what seems to be the end*.

516
Evolution

The Winter War of 515 AV is a harsh one, subjecting Alvads to situations they have never faced before, and Aislyn is no exception. Her illusions lead her to an old and new face- a figure she dons 'Other-Aislyn', taking form after herself, and a figure that has appear in and out of Aislyn's life for seasons, Almos.* By the time all events have transpired, Aislyn is left with her tongue wrapped around the name of her deity and a gift she can never repay- her second mark of illusionism.* By the time the spring comes she has rationalized herself once again, and returned to what can be called 'normal life'.

With the dawning of a new year, Aislyn makes no resolution to change anything about herself, rather drawing herself in and rarely leaving for the duration of the season. Plagued by nightmares and paranoia with a new sense of the closeness of death, her rare outings are never dull. One such outing is marked by the meeting between Aislyn and a woman named Eleanor, whom the illusionist meets atop a tall building, preparing to jump.* Aislyn finds herself infatuated by the strange figure, and finds a kindred soul within the woman's distant personality and suicidal tendencies. After all, commonalities never have to come from wholly positive hobbies.
Later on in the season Aislyn finds herself privy to the rumors that plague the city following the aftermath of the Winter War, and gives in to curiosity in investigating a cavern said to contain a beast that those willing to fight for Alvadas must destroy. With a vigor at least partially due to Aislyn's success in fighting during the winter, the artist accepts the challenge*, and, though 'honorably' would not be the way to describe her victory, she does come out victorious, and is accepted into the ranks of the Sheathewhisps*, self-proclaimed defenders of Alvadas. From the Sheathewhisps spawns something Aislyn has not seen in many years- a new face. Anjani* is created*. Anjani is different from the other illusions in the fact that Aislyn purposely distances her, to allow herself a break from the newfound weights of Maya and Thief. However, this break causes an inadvertent trait in Anjani to have trouble remembering events that have transpired while the illusion is not active.

Though the season passes quietly, the summer comes in roaring, with Aislyn finding herself in the perfect position to take advantage of the knowledge of magic, namely Auristics. With the help of an occasionally-irritating pycon named Tail as an amateur teacher, Aislyn exchanges boarding in her house for arcane lessons*. The auristics agreement isn't the end of the season's magic, however, as Aislyn runs into yet another wizard*, though this one of much greater ability. [TBD]
Summer proves to be an active season of new faces and new skills; as soon as the magic chaos dies down a new problem appears- a problem under the name of 'Dexius Skythorn'. The two meet in a backalley of Alvadas*, Aislyn's paranoia and overhanging delusions from the previous season's trauma bleeding into her ability to interact with the man. That, combined with Dexius' lack of social skill, make for an eventful set of begrudging sword lessons that become borderline duels*.

The Fall of 516 finds itself centered around the rediscovery of old things- good and bad. In a chance encounter*, Aislyn finds herself meeting a fortune teller named Nephti for a second time, the first time being when a cursed Eypharian had used Nephti as a translator in asking Aislyn for help to remove the punishment* put upon her by a Speaker in the previous winter*. Aislyn asks Nephti for a fortune regarding Ionu and the future of Alvadas. Nephti reads that she must prepare for the future, and that no one will be ready for what Ionu does next*.
The second chance meeting is between Aislyn and a place she hasn't seen since she was young- the Unnamye*. After her first eventful visit*, Aislyn becomes a regular customer, finding herself addicted to Sirencestine, a substance that nearly replaces Aislyn's need to eat, which she finds very little motivation to do in recent seasons. On one of her visits*, she encounters Madeira Craven, a new face on an old family Aislyn knew well from her taking notes* on several members of the family during the Winter War**. Madeira, under the influence of Overture, doses Aislyn with the hallucinogenic drug, Dew*. [TBD]
[TBD]
In a fitting end to the season, Aislyn searches for some way to retain control of her life. Facing insomnia, addiction, and a decreased motivation to keep herself alive, she turns to her deity for help. In an event of happenstance, however, it is not Ionu the illusionist *. Instead, she rediscovers a god she learned of many years before, Sagallius. His domain promises control, but Aislyn finds herself conflicted on whether the worship of another god betrays her devotion to Ionu.

The Winters of Alvadas never seem to be a happy time, as Morwen's Edict* sweeps across Mizahar. Aislyn's fortune from the previous season comes true as Ionu and Alvadas declare themselves on the side of Bala, Tavasi & Sivah, condemning all Alvad Vantha to death**. Aislyn finds herself stunned by the aggressive declaration, but as the Sheathewhisps polarize themselves on the issue* she finds no trouble choosing the side of her favoured deity. She herself hunts for and executes a Vantha man*, with the unlikely and uneasy ally of Yisanareysin on her side. [TBD]
However, not all Alvads are on the side of Ionu. Later in the season Aislyn finds herself conflict as Phobius comes to her with a letter* from a man asking for his help in protecting the Vantha of Alvadas. [TBD]
As the season nears it end, Aislyn finds her mental state rapidly regressing. As the city of illusions imitates a map of Mizahar*, she seeks out the familiarity of Alvadas. The city within the city is rumored to have become an elusive whirlwind of destruction, a rumor Aislyn finds to be true as she steps into the maelstrom, hoping for something to change*.

Maria Leavold :
Image
Name: Maria Leavold
Race: Human
DoB: 62nd of Winter, 466 AV
PoB: Alvadas
Title: Carver, Mother of Aislyn Leavold
Skills: Singing: 5
Gardening: 5
Cooking: 14
Carving: 26
Gnosis: None
Additional Info: Maria has the appearance of a mother, but the mind of a madman. In a way, she is both. Maria Leavold cared for her daughter, Aislyn, with the utmost love and affection, even if she was an unplanned event. In all truth, Maria barely realizes Lyn is part Zith, feeling as if that, should she be raised right, she would not harbor the skills of her father, or the skills of the Zith race at all. In a way, she was right.

But one can not talk about Aislyn when there’s so much to learn from her mother.
Maria was born to two loving parents, both pure-blooded humans. She lived a happy life, growing up in Alvadas. Her life was nothing successful, and nothing really eventful happened during her early years. Her story really began when she ventured too far out from the gates of her city and found herself taken into a Zith colony, prisoner to a very intimidating Zith man.

Eventually, Maria escaped, but not before being impregnated by her Zith captor. She got out with a group of other humans kept as slaves, though she never found out what happened to them. They most likely were hunted down with first priority, since at the time, Maria was in no shape to work for the colony, leading to Maria having more luck in her escape. When she stumbled her way back into Alvadas, freezing, starving, and most likely dying of a thousand different diseases, she gave birth to a little girl. Aislyn.

That was what gave her hope. If an infant could make it, so could she. Her fight to survive brought both Maria and Aislyn to health, as Lyn had been born premature, due to severe undernourishment of her mother. Eventually, though, they were both fit, healthy, and ready to take on what the city of illusions had to offer.

Maria raised her daughter well, though she did notice strange features of the girl, despite this, she dismissed them as insignificant. Small ridges on Lyn’s back, almost resembling stubs of wings. Dark colored skin, when Maria’s was light. Long, flowing hair, compared to her mother’s short, curly mop. All strange, though Maria never quite connected the dots. Her mind had all but blocked out the majority of her memories at the colony, so she had never even questioned how she had gotten pregnant in the first place. She never knew little Aislyn was actually part Zith.

As Lyn was growing up, Maria became more and more attached to the god she had been introduced to due to their influence in the city; Ionu. She even influenced Aislyn’s worship of Ionu, strengthening her bond with the deity.

When Lyn began forming her own thoughts, ideas, the such, even gaining a gnosis from Maria’s favourite deity, Maria began to lose her sanity. There wasn’t a particular point in time where she began to slip, no, it was a gradual process. Her daughter most likely played a part in it, with her gnosis and overall personality pushing Maria to the edge. Along with that, who wouldn’t lose their sanity, or at least question it, in a city like Alvadas?

In present time, Maria lives with Aislyn in a small 20 by 20ft house, where she lovingly cares for a garden of dead plants (yet another symptom of her insanity) and works full-time at her own carving shop, providing just enough mizas to keep herself afloat.

Taji Karron :
Image
Name: Taji Karron
Race: Human
DoB: 42nd of Fall, 451 AV
PoB: Alvadas
Title: Miscellaneous Worker, Mentor to a young Aislyn Leavold
Skills: Crossbow, Light: 26
Teaching: 14
Medicine: 10
Gnosis: None
Additional Info: Taji grew up an only child in a family with no mother and a father that would constantly turn a blind eye to his troubles. The man's father was not abusive, merely stern and unforgiving, with the only education he allowed his son to undergo coming from himself. Unfortunately, the only thing Taji's father taught him was fear. Fear of the world, fear of the gods, and, most notably, fear of Ionu.
In a city full of illusions, one either reveres the deity or fears them. In Taji’s case, his father taught him to be very, very afraid.
Ever since the day he was born, Taji learnt that Ionu was a force to be reckoned with, as all gods were. That his tricks were to be avoided and his anger feared. As a boy, he never visited any of the places in Alvadas known to be heavily influenced by Ionu. He avoided the temples at all cost, despite the shrines seeming to appear at his doorstep every time the city morphed.

Even as an adult, the man carried his father’s fears into his own life, choosing only to stay in Alvadas to stay close to his wife and daughter (and memory therefore of). He took various jobs to support his family, switching between jobs as a gardener, a bartender, or even, once, a bodyguard. It was a rough way to work, but Taji managed to keep himself and his family afloat with the money it brought in.

Taji played a very large role in many lives, being a widowed husband of a close-knit family, with two sons and a daughter along a late wife, Lilith, who died after giving birth to her third child. The couple’s first son, Julian was born in 484 AV, three years later, another boy, George, then after a full five years, their only daughter, Riley. Miraculously, all three children were born in the spring, though at varying time in the season.

For a few years, Taji lived happily, revering the memory of his lost wife within his children, teaching them everything he knew. All the fear his father had taught him, all the wisdom his wife had given him, everything the man could possibly give, he gave to his children. That was why it was so hard for him to see his sons leave to create their own lives elsewhere.

In the end, Julian became a plantation owner in Kenash at the age of twenty-one, while George became training to be guard in Syliras as soon as he was old enough to travel. Riley, on the other hand, stayed with her father, too young to venture out on her own. But in the spring of 504, just a year after Julian had left and a season since George had followed, Riley went missing. The girl, nor her remains, were ever found. Taji was struck with grief, and, after sending word to both Julian and George with no reply, tried to take his own life at 53 years old.

The attempt was unsuccessful, and Taji turned to gambling to drown his sorrows. He gambled anything and everything, frequenting himself at the Ionu's Wager and nearly losing his life several times due to losing his bets.
One day, however, he made a bet that changed his life forever. The bet was against a man who had challenged Taji on his ability to fight. In the end, the bet turned into a competition on who was the better marksman, ending with an old-fashioned shoot-out.

That was where he met Aislyn, who was drawn to the argument between the gambling men. The girl was, at the time, ten years old, the same age as Taji’s missing daughter. Because of this likeness, the man developed a sort of fatherly attraction to her, treating her as he did Riley. Aislyn became his youngest child’s replacement, and he spent a good part of four years watching her grow up under his wing. Taji taught Aislyn how to shoot a crossbow, along with providing her with a temporary home whenever her mother forgot her. After Aislyn turned fourteen, however, things began to change.

Taji still found himself spending quite a bit of time with Aislyn, though he felt her attention towards him growing thin, and her care growing forced. When, one day, he asked her why, Aislyn explained how she had met a friend; a boy by the name of Markis Qiu. Taji expressed his concern over the relationship, sparking an argument between the two. Lyn began pushing him out of her life, and the two steadily grew apart.

For the next year, Taji saw little to no attention from Aislyn, returning to his previous state of depression. On the eve of the man’s 59th birthday, however, in the year of 510, Aislyn came to see him with exciting news. After dragging a reluctant Taji into the midst of one of Ionu’s illusions- an array of flying fish in the middle of a nighttime alley, Aislyn showed her mentor her powers she gained from her gnosis, changing both the aspects of her appearance along with causing the colours of the fish to swim across a rainbow of hues.

Taji reacted swiftly, acting out of fear because of the way he had been brought up. All the lessons and sayings his father had told him, all the warnings about Ionu’s power. And now, in his eyes, Ionu had taken both his daughters from him. Aislyn had been given the same power that manipulated Alvadas’ streets; the same power that had caused him to lose track of Riley. So, in an act of fear, he lashed out at her.

After a heavily one-sided fight, the man left sixteen-year-old Aislyn confused and alone in the midst of a pod of dying rainbow fish.
The man never saw Aislyn again.

Heirloom
-Image"Aislyn’s Locket"; a necklace made up of two parts.
The first part is a locket with her mother's picture in one side, young Aislyn's picture in the other. There is a space for a third picture, presumably of the father, but the third compartment is, and always has been, empty. Aislyn's mother gave the locket to her when she was seven.
If one were to press down on the front of the necklace, though, a compartment in the back pops open. Aislyn hasn't put anything in the back compartment as of yet, but she sometimes opens and closes it obsessively when she's nervous.

The second part of the necklace is the beads surrounding the locket charm. The beads are of an unknown material, though the strong azure colour of the beads hint at their nature. The beaded part of the necklace was once owned by a childhood friend of Aislyn's, but after a falling out, Aislyn accidentally pulled off the necklace in their fight. The necklace was shattered and reduced to no more than a few beads clutched in young Aislyn's hand, but after she was marked by Ionu, the necklace was left in tact, supposedly by the deity's doing.

Aislyn has combined the two items into one precious heirloom extremely close to her heart.

Gifts
-Image”Guile”; an egg-sized locket, elegant metalwork forming the appearance of an eye with an iridescent "pupil" of mother of pearl at its center, though it would seem the latch is stuck and immovable.
Attached to the back of the locket is a neatly folded note upon which is scrawled a note in an elegant script: "There is a face for every occasion." The locket will only open is Aislyn is not using her gnosis and repeats the message on the locket's note before attempting to open it. On the inside is a mirror, one that will show the viewer any face the "eye" was able to see in the past year. Details depend on how long the "eye" was able to observe the person, and the images can be navigated by the viewer's desire to change perspectives. This item functions outside of Alvadas.
    Faces contained in the Eye:

-Image”The Drawn Mirror”; A gift from Almos to Aislyn. On first glance, this mirror looks quite beautiful. The frame is made of silver, with three, small moonstones set in it. One at the bottom of the mirror (just above the handle), and the other two opposite each other on the frame. The back of the mirror however is plain, including the back of the handle. Here, the metal lacks luster, and doesn't even look like metal. In fact, it looks more like solid paper, or stone.

The front of the handle is carved simply into a series of waterfalls, with a few clear glass beads set in it. The glass is of a decent quality, but here is where calling it a mirror becomes a farce. The glass inside of the mirror does not reflect. Instead, it simply looks as if the glass has been placed on top of a sheet of dull, non-reflective metal, very similar in colour to the back of the mirror.

Despite it's beauty, the mirror seems useless.

Location: Alvadas
Housing: Aislyn's Abode

House: By default the house will cost 500 GM and be the default measurements of 20x20ft. The house, also comes with a key which acts as a sort of compass that tugs the possessor of the key in the direction of the house which the key belongs to (It would be best described as two magnets attracting each other). The house includes a hearth, bunk, chest, chair, and table.

Ledger

She’d stolen before, of course- as proven by Thief's existence at all- but she didn’t anymore. That was behind her, now.
Her mizas were well earned.
