[Gossamer's Scrapbook] The Ethereal Canyon

Postby Pulren Marsh on June 2nd, 2015, 4:00 pm

I'm sorry , Jen. Both of my parents died over a decade ago and I still deal with it. It is most definitely life altering, even after the initial shock and sadness pass, which in my case took a few years. I pray that the time you need comes and you are given the peace you need. There is lots of stuff, material and not so much, that floats about like ashes in the water. Where does it go? Will it ever wash clean? My love and thoughts with you and your family.

I'm sorry for your loss, it must be really hard. My grandmother has died not long ago, and I feel like my grandfather will also pass away real soon.
I don't know what it's like to lose your parent though, I hope you will feel better soon. Surely hard to deal with that, and I wish the best for you and for your family!

[Gossamer's Scrapbook] The Ethereal Canyon

Postby Ball on June 2nd, 2015, 4:57 pm

I have lost grandparents, and my wife has lost cousins (younger and older) as well as grandparents. I have no clue what it feels like to have lost a parent. As mentioned by others above, loss is a tough thing to deal with. Sending you all the good prayers and such to assist in aiding you through this part of life. We are here for you, take time to get yourself together in a way you can deal with the world and the hole your loss created.

I can't say that time will heal it, cause that's a load of shit and we all know it, but I think we with time we begin to be able to step around or acknowledge the world without that piece there.

Graders Please Note :
As Ball is getting closer and closer to maxing out Pyken as a skill, I would like to request that in places where Ball is not doing enough to constitute Pyken XP if Pyken technique lores could be issued instead.

Examples of proper XP level for Pyken would be: Ball developing or refining his technique by adding new thing against an actual moving target, not a dummy.

The use of basic skills alone are not enough to accomplish XP at Ball's current level of Pyken.

Thank you.

I will be handling all Ball related posts on Mondays @ 1800 my time *

Words cannot express the sympathy and sorrow I feel for your loss. Feel better, Goss. This too will pass.

I'm terribly sorry for your loss and for what you've been going through. Like others have said, I can't imagine what it must be like.

I'm truly sorry for your loss, Jen. I also lost my mother a few years ago when I was 13, my uncle and closest friend, an aunt and my grandmother so I can certainly empathise with you. I would never compare my own grief and loss to your own but I know how hard it must be. I know that organising things and dealing with her belongings will be a difficult process.

You will get through it. It will take time and it may become harder to accept as time goes on but you will move on and you'll have good memories to hold onto despite it all. Be thankful for the time you had and know that she is no longer in pain.

I'll be thinking of you.

I'm so very sorry to hear about your mother, and, as always, my heart and prayers go out to you and your family. If there's anything we can do here to help, don't hesitate to ask.
